As visited on March 27th, 2004
4000 Imperial street, Burnaby, British Columbia

On my first trip to Canada, British Columbia to be specific, I absolutely had to travel to Michael's memorial site. I wasn't too sure what to expect even though I have seen pictures of it on a fan website, it still was something I could not imagine. I got all dressed up and I even struggled with the heels and made my way over to Burnaby to the Ocean View Cemetery and Mausoleum... I walked around the buildings for awhile before I finally walked into the right door, and there it was, I had found it. I was truly speechless, I didn't know what to do so I just did what I do best, I started snapping my camera and this is what I saw...

This was the extension of his memorial which was on the right of entering the door. It was so beautiful, there were many items that looked like they were placed there from fans. The CD card that says "Thank You" on the left of the table is what I left there...

This is the wall I saw as I walked through the doors. This wall obviously had fresh flowers, therefore it is a well cared for memorial.

I am so glad I made the trip out to Burnaby to visit his memorial, it was well worth the visit. Actually the main reason I made the whole trip to Canada was to go to his memorial, so my first trip to Canada was fully worth it. Even if you live on the other end of the earth, if Michael has impacted your life in any way then I suggest to you to visit his memorial, I assure you, you will not be disappointed~

*If you have never been to a memorial site before here are a couple of things you should know: It is usually preferrable to dress nicely out of respect for the one you are visiting and their neighbors, it is polite if you bring something to give like a card or some flowers and remember, make the most out of your visit! You don't always know the next time you will get to see their memorials again!

Josh Groban "You're Still You"

Through the darkness
I can see your light
And you will always shine
And I can feel your heart in mine
Your face I've memorized
I idolize just you

I look up to
Everything you are
In my eyes you do no wrong
I've loved you for so long
And after all is said and done
You're still you
After all
You're still you

You walk past me
I can feel your pain
Time changes everything

One truth always stays the same
You're still you
After all
You're still you

I look up to
Everything you are
In my eyes you do no wrong
And I believe in you
Although you never asked me to
I will remember you
And what life put you through

And in this cruel and lonely world
I found one love
You're still you
After all
You're still you
